The perfect gin & tonic: the Caroca ritual (and why the glass matters)

Ice, a balloon glass, the right botanical and tonic. The secrets to a flawless gin & tonic.

Few drinks are as simple — and as easy to ruin — as the gin & tonic. At Caroca we treat it with the respect it deserves. Here's what we pay attention to.

1. The balloon glass

It's not for show: the wide bowl concentrates the botanical aromas and keeps the drink cold. It's the difference between smelling the gin or not noticing it at all.

2. Plenty of good ice

Abundant, dense ice chills without diluting. Too little ice melts fast, and a watered-down G&T is the most common mistake.

3. The gin leads

Every gin has its character: citrusy, floral, spiced. Choosing well shapes the result. If in doubt, ask — that's what we're here for.

4. The botanical, with judgement

A lemon peel, a few juniper berries, a little cucumber… the garnish should lift the gin, not mask it. Less is more.

5. The tonic, last and gently

Pour slowly, letting it slide down the ice or a bar spoon to keep the fizz. Then stir just enough.

The result? A fresh, aromatic, balanced gin & tonic. Come and taste it in Bib-Rambla and notice the difference.
